It doesn't seem but a moment ago I was stood in front of Sheffield City Hall photographing local MP Nick Clegg holding a rally in front of hordes of adoring supporters. Fast forward just six months and apparently he's now on par with a Japanese sea monster according to this cheery crowd in front of Sheffield Town Hall(*). The fact that the Mad Chancellor is today revealing how much we're going to have to suffer to preserve his City mates' way of life might have something to do with it too. Personally, I think you'd have to be insane to want to be a politician (but hey, you knew that already). (*) Confused? Sheffield has a City Hall where the likes of Jimmy Carr and Michael Bolton entertain the masses and a Town Hall where the mayor and the other council bigwigs hang out. They're only a couple of hundred yards apart too.
